Install Workstation Live 43 in Hyper-v on Windows 11 Pro

Hello
I am having an issue with creating Fedora VM in Hyper-v on Windows 11 Pro. Any system-level config changes, such as adding a new user group, disappear after restart of the VM. Any files in /home/liveuser work fine.

I created the VM from Fedora-Workstation-Live-43-1.6.x86_64.iso. The VM is Gen 2 and has the following Boot order: Hard Drive, DVD Drive. The DVD drive is pointing the .iso file.

Hyper-V is just running Fedora Live from the ISO. That operates solely in memory, so it’s not going to save anything. While the virtual machine is operating, only the temporary files in /home/liveuser remain.
so boot the iso and then make sure to install it to the hard drive, and then follow the installer.
