Problem

If user has modified wireplumber config files no sound devices may be listed after upgrade to wireplumber-0.4.10

Cause

This change added an enable to every monitor. If this is not added to a custom configuration no sound devices are detected.

Workarounds

Update user modified configuration files with the the appropriate monitor.enabled=true:
IE…
alsa_monitor.enabled=true would need to be added to the top of 50-alsa-config.lua

or
copy the updated files from /usr/share/wireplumber and re-make your changes.

If this was just about a custom wireplumber configuration, I’d say this doesn’t belong to #common-issues , because it’s not common. But another person in bugzilla mentioned the same happened on a system without any config modifications, so let’s see if the bug turns out to be something different.
