In my opinion, if you create a version designed for gaming, you’ll gain even greater popularity.
There’s the Games Lab version:
Bear in mind that every official Fedora output must be 100% FOSS, which excludes many of the things people might expect in a “gaming version”.
Projects like Bazzite, which is based on Fedora but is outside the Fedora Project structure, don’t have that constraint. So Bazzite includes a gamer-oriented mix of FOSS and proprietary software.
