I can't change the speed of my cursor

fedora 43 KDE

Hello!

Hello, this is a real problem that I have been experiencing for several days and I have not found a solution.

Could you please help me: my mouse cursor movement is a bit too slow. I have the Piper tool to graphically adjust the speeds, but nothing changes!

In the settings under Configuration > Mouse , even though I specify that my mouse is a Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse , the default value always reverts to ROCCAT ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro (which corresponds to my keyboard).

  • Regarding Piper, do you have a solution to reset the entire configuration to default?

  • Regarding the Configuration > Mouse do you know if that’s normal or a problem if my keyboard is always the default mouse reference?

Thank you!

The KDE settings screen seems to default to displaying whatever it top of the list, but if you scroll up and down the list, you’ll see each entry has its own config.

Mine displays my keyboards and various combinations of dongle, mouse and keyboard.:

Select your mouse, change settings to whatever you prefer and click apply.

Okay, it seems I was simply using the wrong settings bar. I was adjusting the bottom one, which controls the scroll wheel speed for web page for example.

Setting the top one to maximum solves my cursor speed problem.

However, if someone could tell me how to reset all of Piper’s settings, that would be great.

Thanks

I’ll have to leave that to someone else - never heard of piper, although I’m going to go and have a look at it now!

I would assume that piper stores its settings inside ~/.config so if you look in there and find a directory or a file probably named something like piper and delete it, it should reset everything to stock.
