So I had Hyprland installed along with KDE Plasma because, the animations are really nice and I was experimenting with Quickshell with Hyprland. But after upgrading to Fedora 43, I noticed that Hyprland dependency of Qt6 for hyprland-qtutils was having a conflict. So I uninstalled Hyprland for re-installing.
It’s missing. Any idea what’s happened? Is it officially gone? Coz usually distro ship a non-conflict causing versions.
Tried a copr repo by Solopasha. It has same hyprland-qtutils warning messages. I’m guessing it needs to be updated by the maintainer for copr case.
How does the updates work? Like does packages disappear after update from repo? I thought there would always be a version in repo. Either older one or new one if there’s any update.
The Fedora Packages says that it is still available in F42.
The page there lists the latest builds etc, but I can’t see any activity. I guess either 1: the Qt6 dependency has not been resolved so nothing can be done, or 2: The packager has not got around to it yet.
You might be able to install the F42 version again by either manual install or dnf install a particular version.
