How to run XFCE after installation?

Hi
I just installed XFCE on Fedora 4.1 , but … the same GNOME desktop as before installation is running
I tried to start xfce manually by issuing the command

startxfce4

but what I get is the following message:

X server already running on display:0

(xfce4-session:5235): xfce4-session-…**23:56:07 .174: another session manager is already running

So I guess that the “other” session manager which is “already running” is GNOME (the default one)? …of course
Then, how do I stop GNOME and let XFCE run instead?
How can I have XFCE run from system start-up instead of having to start it manually each time?

Regards

If you have both installed, I think there should be a “gear” icon on the login screen that will let you select which DE to start after you sign in on the DM.
