How to revert lock screen wallpaper to default?

,

When I was fiddling around with the wallpaper settings on my fedora kde 43 thinkpad, I accidentally changed the lock screen wallpaper to some pink one (the default one for the Breeze theme), and I want the cool rocket ship background back on my lock screen. Is there a way to revert this accidental change without reinstalling my OS?

You should be able to do that by going to System Settings → Appearance & Style (section) → Colors and Themes → Login Screen (SSDM) and select the Breeze Fedora option.

It doesn’t seem to work; unless I have to reboot to apply the changes, I don’t see what I’m doing wrong. I tried selecting the “Breeze Fedora” option, but it was already highlighted. I tried selecting it anyway, and nothing changed. I tried the “reset to defaults” option, and that didn’t work

On Breeze Fedora there is an overlay icon (when mouse pointer moved over it) which allows changing the background image. Select the desired one, if not already selected, then confirm changes. Reboot or at least logout/login is necessary for changes to take effect.

  • Open the System Settings app in KDE Plasma
  • Go to the “Screen Locking” page (find it in the “Security & Privacy” section of the list of pages)
  • Click the “Configure Appearance” button at the top right of the window
  • Select the wallpaper you want (they’re listed in alphabetical order by title, and this one is titled “Fedora Forty-Three”)
  • Click “Apply”

That should be it!

I think OP is trying to change the lock screen wallpaper (i.e. what you get when a logged-in session locks) rather than the SDDM wallpaper (what you see on the login screen).

You’re right of course, I’ve misread the question.
