How to install zoneminder (I'm new to Fedora)?

I’m trying to find out how to install zoneminder.New to Fedora

open a terminal and type:

dnf search zoneminder
zoneminder.x86_64 : A camera monitoring and analysis tool
zoneminder-nginx.x86_64 : ZoneMinder configuration for Nginx web server
zoneminder-httpd.x86_64 : ZoneMinder configuration for Apache web server
zoneminder-common.x86_64 : Common files for ZoneMinder, not tied to a specific web server
mythzoneminder.x86_64 : A module for MythTV for camera security and surveillance

Installing

https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installationguide/redhat.html#background-fedora

sudo dnf install zoneminder

Configuring

Guess I can skip that. I have lorex cameras and they aren’t listed :roll_eyes:

It would be important to tell the user that zoneminder is coming from a third-party repository named RPMFusion and that the dnf command above only works after (installing and) enabling that third-party repository.

Are you sure it doesn’t work with your cam? They advertise that it works with any cam!
