I’m trying to install fedora with SED: Changes/SelfEncryptingDrivesSupportInAnaconda - Fedora Project Wiki
The GUI doesn’t support it, I have to install using a kickstart file.
I checked everywhere, I can’t find how to run the installation with the file. They all say I must change the boot options command to run the installation, which is unpractical.
I can’t believe there is no way to install it from a running Fedora.
Kickstart is design to install a system by booting the installation image.
Either from media (USB, DVD, etc) or from the network.
It is not designed to work from a running system.
You will need to create the install media, on a network server or on a USB driver then boot that. My experience is with kickstarting from network servers. This can be done unattended with the right lights-out-management solutions in a data centre for example.
