How to get back Gnome Shell's symbolic icons after icon-theme switch?

Hi. With certain icon themes (like my favorite, Numix) some of Gnome Shell symbolic links disappear, leaving the space (otherwise still functional) empty. Is there a way to get them back without turning back to the default Adwaita theme? Thanks in advance.

Which version are you using of Fedora? F42 has a version from last year in the repository, this might causes some troubles with missing, not available links and/or data.

As I mentioned above, there are a view Gnome versions in between the release we do have and the latest release.
So an upgrade would be needed.
