How to file a bug to package manager rednotebook

Pagkage rednotebook does not install a good application, Software does install it. But Software does not install all delendencies. How to file a buf to a package? does not work for me.

Hello @jpbn

I don’t know. I use RedNotebook on a daily basis, and it works for me. I installed it using dnf (but I don’t see why Software should install something different).

You mean that clicking on the File a new Bug button doesn’t work? You are right.
I see that there is an open issue here:

As stated here:, you can follow this document: How to file a bug (in a nutshell: head to, log in with the same account used here on Ask Fedora, then it is pretty straightforward).

Thanks for your clear answers. Something is wrong: First I did use Software to install rednotebook . Yesterday I tried the dnf way to update to new version of rednotebook. And it installed a second rednotebook, A Different version that did not work, next to the older version. I think that should not happen?

Do you have flathub configured? This is the only thing that comes to mind. One package installed from Fedora repository and the other one installed as Flatpak.

So you’re using the RPM version from the repositories, not the flatpak.

You said it did not install all dependencies: can you clarify what you mean by that? Does it not work?

That is a comment in about dnf dependency doesn’t include gtksourceview3.
I do not know if RNB has any dependencies or needs any , but gtksourceview is not on my computer,

Ah, so

dnf install gtksourceview3

should get it to work for you. The maintainer will have to add the dependency and submit an update.
