How does Fedora handle XFCE packages updates?

I was wondering how does fedora handle individual packages of a desktop environment like XFCE in terms of updates?

For example, thunar version on f42 and rawhide is 4.20.2-2.fc42 and version 4.21.0 has been released for over a month and hasn’t been pushed even to rawhide yet

Or is their something wrong I got and needs explaining?

I would expect that 4.21 is the work-in-progress version for version 4.22. Some project specify the stable versions with an even version number and the development version with an uneven version number.

Yep. Thats exactly right. Xfce uses odd releases for development
versions.

Fedora sticks with the stable releases.

There are stable update releases from time to time (ie, a 4.20.x).

The next major version will be 4.22.
