Hi Fedora community, this is my intro

Thinking about joining (technically already just did) the community, hello to everyone ! I made an account to test things out being social and all that.

I have been using GNU+Linux since around 2013 so that is 13 years already woah. And I been primarily using Fedora since probably release 34-36? till now, (could be wrong not able recall clearly…)

Daily driving Fedora Kinoite, although I have not studied what Fedora does “under hood” its been delightful to use with close to zero bugs noticeable bugs or issues and supports my hardware perfectly, also comes with no bloatware or spying that I know of

My life revolves heavily around sports I do biking, jogging and body-weight training daily, also gym weight lifting occasionally.

At work I have not been able to get a IT job yet but that is okay as I enjoy playing with tech, doing game dev/programming, and other computing related stuff as a hobby any ways. Few other software projects I love using are KDE desktop(all the others are fine too), Godot Engine, Inkscape, Firefox & Thunderbird, Logseq, Syncthing, Android OS …

Other casual interests I have are movies & books, philosophy, geo-politics, finances, foreign languages, psychology, nutrition and cooking…

Not to get negative but here is also few things I dislike:

  • Proprietary services that I have to put-up with (mostly Android apps),
  • Abusive web networks such as YouTube, Reddit, Google Translate, WhatsApp… I avoid using those but due to how much content there is and few alternatives I put up with them time-to-time.
  • Not a big fan of AI/LMMS. Not fully against them tho, opinion might change…
  • Also I do not see the current state of world very positively but I do let that impact my mood too much :upside_down_face:
  • About Fedora the only minor thing I dislike is the name (because I always think about the hat, when I try to tell someone what OS my PC runs).

Any ways this was my introduction post, thanks for reading and sorry about my a little broken English. Looking forward to having conversation, recommendations, help and support, s*** chat and what not with y’all. Cheers!

Oh here is my desktop(s) if anyone is interested

Where can I find those wallpapers? They are quite cool!

Those are bundled wallpapers with KDE Plasma.

If you’re not a KDE Plasma user, you can find them in the upstream repo (Milky Way and Opal are the two that are shown above).
