Help Needed, Fedora 41 Kde crash on game launch / window change

Hello, I am very new to Linux and I don’t know what to do to solve my issue. I’m running on Fedora 41, kde, with a dual-monitor setup. I’m experiencing a full system crash every couple of hours, usually caused by the launching of a game, swapping between windows on different monitors, and occasionally at random when playing games. Sometimes a single screen will freeze, allowing me to use the other screen for a few moments before my entire system locks up. When the screens are both frozen, I am unable to open my terminal, and have to fully shut off the pc with the power button. I’ve read of others having the same issue, but I haven’t found an actual solution among any of their forum posts.

Here are my pc specs using inxi -JFmxz -mm , I read that the full command was important rather than the standard inxi command

I saw that you can get an error log of sorts through journalctl, this is the output for my last session:

Apologies that this probably isn’t the right way to post this text, but this appears to be the start of the error, and this is followed by a few thousand lines of text that repeat the error message over and over. For clarity, this specific crash happened on boot for the game Monster Hunter, but the crash isn’t game specific. Any help solving this issue would be appreciated, I want to avoid returning to Windows if I can.

There is a similar report of “mapViewport() may only be used on X11” here and that user reported that downgrading the mesa drivers resolved the problem. There were several reports of problems with the mesa drivers in recent history. Maybe this is some new variation of a similar problem?

Downgraded to Mesa 24, crossing my fingers that this works, will update the forum in a couple days if this works well, thanks!
