Help getting keyboard to work on Apple MacBook

My problem computer is a MacBook early 2015 A1534. I have not had any luck getting the touch pad or keyboard to work. I ended up having to blacklist the applespi to keep it from locking up. I have everything updated. Hopeful someone has an idea or solution to help me figure out how to get it working.

I am very new to linux, its only been a few weeks since I jump over. I tried out many distros before I landed over here on Fedora and its by far my favorite. I got all 4 of my windows boxes switched and trying to get this MacBook going. I did try out Ubuntu and Mint and both the keyboard works. But it isnt Fedora so I came back and reinstalled Fedora to see if I could figure it out.

Maybe George @gnwiii can assist. He seems to use a mac regularly.

Does inxi -Fzxx detect touch pad or keyboard?

https://github.com/cb22/macbook12-spi-driver/issues/71 discusses similar problems on MB 8,1 and Fedora back in 2018.

I recall having to use external mouse and keyboard to configure Apple systems running Linux, but most of my experience has been with iMacs.

It does not appear that “inxi -Fzxx” is detecting track pad or keyboad, but it also isnt showing trackpad or keyboard on the working Asus laptop as well.

Yeah, ive been using external mouse and keyboard as well on the MacBook.

Thank you for the link, I will check it out and see if I will have any lucks
