Having FUSE Error With Appimage Files Since Updating to Fedora 44

So far ProtonUpQT and Heroic Games Launcher appimage files give the following error:

“Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup.”

Is there anything I can do about this? I don’t know much about AppImage, so I’m not sure if I should report this to application developers, if it’s a Fedora issue or what. I’m on Fedora Kinoite, more info as follows:

Operating System: Fedora Linux 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.25.0
Qt Version: 6.10.3
Kernel Version: 6.19.14-300.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor
Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.3 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 7600
Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
Product Name: MS-7C56
System Version: 4.0

Are you using Kinoite, an atomic desktop? If so, it may be this change:

If this is it, I believe the only way to resolve it is to report it to the developer of the AppImage and ask them to update.

Oooh, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah I’m using Kinoite. Thanks for the reply.
