Grub booting problem after upgrading to Fedora 30: "free magic is broken at .."

Upgraded and now I get …

Free magic is broken at 0xad2c9500: ….

If I let it count down on the grub menu selection it fails. If I select the version from the menu it boots fine. This is an issue as this pc is scheduled to startup by itself

*** Update

I ran dnf update today which found updates including a new kernel.
After updating and reboot all seems to be good now

cleanup a computer is a good option i think.
