GRUB 2.14 and signed systemd-boot packages?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering when GRUB will be upgraded to v2.14 given that it has now been almost 5 months since it was released. I do not even see a 2.14 package in Rawhide, although I recently received a 2.12 update for F44. I presume there are some road blocks that are stopping it? Would this make it in the F45 release cycle?

The other question I have is about systemd-boot. The only package I see is a “systemd-boot-unsigned” and there is a warning when using dnf info:

This package contains the unsigned version. Install systemd-boot instead to get the version that works with Secure Boot.

However, there is no systemd-boot package (only systemd-boot-unsigned). There was discussion on Paguire over 4 years old and still open, but no resolution for this.

Is there something happening in this arena, or perhaps an alternative to GRUB and systemd-boot on EFI systems with secure boot are being investigated?

Fedora grub has deviated quite a bit from the upstream version, so upgrading to 2.14 can be a challenge.
