It is driverless for normal usb mode. for audio class 2 mode a driver is needed in windows. having said that I had to check that on a windows machine and now realize the fault might lie in the device itself as the OS finds it:

Plus a quick test on a windows machine revealed troubles playing audio both in class 1 and class mode.
More checking needed. I most probably should work as plug and play.
