Description
This is the start of a project to make Fedora more user-friendly.
What it replaces/disables:
fedora-repos package with the following packages disabled for various reasons:
gst-editing-services -breaks WINE prefix creation when installed
fedora-repos -replaced with this custom version for package blacklisting
plasma-discover -prevent user from installing dumb shit in KDE Discover shop -- we only want to use dnfdragora
gnome-software -prevent user from installing dumb shit in Gnome Software shop -- we only want to use dnfdragora
libusbx -we are using a custom version at coprs/gloriouseggroll/libusbx that fixes a heavy CPU usage bug when used with xow for xbox controllers.
kernel* -we are using a custom version at coprs/sentry/kernel-fsync that has fsync/futex patches and a few other enhancements.
What it provides:
mesa-git builds for AMD GPUs from copr/gloriouseggroll/mesa-aco
libusbx builds for fixing xow CPU usage from copr/gloriouseggroll/libusbx
kernel-fsync for kernel with fsync/futex support from copr/sentry/kernel-fsync
xow for xbox wireless controllers support from copr/sentry/xow
replacement fedora-repos package with the previous mentioned packages disabled from copr/gloriouseggroll/fedora-repos
Goals:
This is the beginning of my personal distro project -- Nobara Linux. The goal is to make Fedora more user friendly by fixing some of the issues that upstream won't fix that are gaming-oriented. This package will be a collection of COPR repositories with various packages that contain various fixes. Please note that currently this is just a side project, and is far from complete.
Installation Instructions
Instructions not filled in by author. Author knows what to do. Everybody else should avoid this repo.
