Getting no updates

There have been no updates on my computer for three days. I am using Fedora 44 Beta. I keep checking the terminal, but it says there are no updates. I wanted to know, since Fedora 44 is releasing on April 28, if the developers have stopped updates until the official release. I know there were some bugs they had to fix before the launch; is that why they couldn’t release the OS on time? **This was the last update I received -

There are no updates at present.

F44 is currently in freeze pending resolution of final release blocking bugs and will remain frozen until f44 is released. Current release is scheduled for Apr 28, but that may be extended based on progress with bug fixes.

Updates will be available after final release.

Is it possible to pull updates anyways, despite the freeze?

Fedora 44 at the moment stucks with Firefox 149 and an old packagekit version (1.3.4-1) - both have severe security issues. It doesn’t seem to be a good idea, from a users perspective, to wait for a final release with severe bugs for critical apps.

Yes, you should be able do an upgrade that brings in packages which aren’t part of the release but have been deployed to the updates-testing repo:

sudo dnf update --enablerepo=updates-testing

These are both fixed in the ISO that will be the official release.

If you want to clean install that version (instead of upgrading) you can get it from Koji.
