There is a package I use called tellico. It’s a collection manager. The current version in the fedora repository is 4.0.1-3. I reported a bug in it which the author fixed in version 4.1 back in January. This was on Fedora 41. Since then version 4.1.1 was released in February and 4.1.2 was released last week. None of these newer versions has made it to either the testing or update repositories for either Fedora 41 or 42, There is a BZ for tracking these updates at:
This BZ was created by Upstream Release Monitoring.
I guess I don’t understand why these newer updates have not made it i to the repositories afer a few months (and a newer version of Fedora). Is there anything that can be done to get the repositories updated? I added a comment to the BZ but there’s been no movement on it.
The spec files that generate the rpms for Fedora need to be updated with the new versions. This, unfortunately, is a manual process. So, either the maintainer is working on it and has run into difficulties, or they haven’t had the time to work on it yet.
Especially this bit:
If you do have the know-how, you could always help the maintainer. You can either open pull requests, or you can also ask them to make you a co-maintainer. We can help with that.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I do not have the know-how nor the bandwidth right now to help the maintainers. However, one of the links above contains how to contact the maintainers via email. I will send them a message and see if that helps.
I sent an email to the maintainers and now the latest has been added to the testing repository. I will install in as soon as I can and check it out and provide feedback.
