Get own postings

Is it possible to get copies of my own postings on Discourse like I can with MLs, issue trackers, and everything I else interact with? Not having a copy of my own responses in my mailbox makes it so I can’t search or view the full thread of a conversation without using the webui.

As it is, there is only Profile - gotmax23 - Fedora Discussion

But maybe there is a way to send all topics to email, so you can keep a copy there.

Based on recent discussions here on Discourse I have set up email notifications, and I’ve noticed this issue myself as well.

You could probably Bcc yourself, and hope the filters in place (if any) work on that email as well, but it’s an additional action. Also, the sender would want to see the email as it was posted on Discourse, and not in the format it was sent.

Site admins could check if there’s some flag in the settings maybe which is not active. Otherwise this could be discussed with Discourse support.

EDIT: This has been asked on Discourse Meta, but with no solution (mailing list mode is not what is needed here).

Some mail clients show the reply in the message thread, even if living in the Sent folder (e.g. works on Geary, not maintained though :frowning: ), but others don’t by default (the closest thing in Neomutt was to manually move the reply from the Sent folder to the folder set up for mailing lists).

Sadly, it doesn’t seem possible. ;( This seems like something good for a
upstream RFE on meta.discourse.com

I found Add option to receive own posts by email - Feature - Discourse Meta. It indeed does not yet seem possible.
