Frozen Taskbar on Fedora 39

So basically for some reason my taskbar on Fedora 39 (I use KDE Plasma Wayland) freezes. I don’t know what causes that, but at somewhat random moments it will just stop updating. The apps that I have opened will stay opened, but the taskbar won’t update itself if I open or close an app. I don’t know if it is something I am clicking on my keyboard or it just happens at random moments.

I have seen that when I had an nvidia gpu.
Is that your gpu type as well?
Are you using the rpmfusion nvidia drivers?

We need more hardware info. It is also important to run journalctl -f --priority err.

I have the same on Plasma, Alt+Tabbing often still works. But these freezes really suck.

My GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070/PCIe/SSE2

If you want anything else ask me.

Yes, the logs XD

When I run the command journalctl -f --priority err it gives me an error and the process in the konsole never stops. Any ideas how I can fix it?

The -f tells journalctl to print logs as they are added to the journal.
That is why it does not exit.

I think the idea is that you run that command to see errors as they happen.

Yes, you can also use journalctl -f --priority warning > ~/somelog to only show warnings and print the output to a file.
