Fresh installation of Fedora wont start

Hi everyone. Got a new computer, and started a fresh dual-boot Win-Fedora (43 KDE version).

The installation was fine (did it twice, no issues there). However, most of the time, Fedora won’t boot. If I try enough times (on average more than 5), eventually it boots. In one of these rare opportunities, I updated the system, but the updated kernel is having the same issue.

If I press escape very fast, I can see the console. Otherwise, the whole system gets stuck at the loading screen. Here are some photos (screenshots? lol) That I managed to take when the system is stuck.

It is also worth noting that, when the system gets stuck, the only key that works is the power button. If I press it briefly, the system is capable of shutting itself down. Commands like Ctrl+Alt+f3 also don’t work.

Can someone help me?

I don’t know if this will fix it, but if you see inconsistent hardware behaviour on a dual-booted system it’s good to check that:

  1. “Fast boot” is disabled in BIOS
  2. “Fast startup” is disabled in Windows

Try removing the “rhgb quiet” in the grub2 editor. Make sure vendor firmware is updated so you aren’t chasing a solved problem.
