Now that the new structure of docs are working, the docs’ links are broken, I can try to make a PR into docs, but I will need the links to point to, currently they points to https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/c/project/magazine that it doesn’t exist anymore.
I’m not sure which docs you are referring to, but I think whatever was pointing to the …/project/magazine URL should probably point to Fedora Magazine - Fedora Discussion now.
Edit: If you mean the link here, yeah, thanks for catching that. You can submit a PR for that or I will take care of it in a little while if I don’t see any PRs soon. Thanks!
Ooh. Yeah, those should be fixed, but II can make redirects in the meantime. Links which included the category number, like https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/c/project/magazine/57 will automatically work.
The other key thing: with the new designr Magazine-as-a-project / Magazine team discussions should be in Project Discussion with the #magazine tag. The Team Workflows: Magazine category should just be for the article submission workflow. So the docs really need to be updated in two different ways.
See Using the Fedora Magazine workflow category for more on this.
OK. In that case, @x3mboy – thanks for pointing out the broken links. I’ll take care of updating the docs to explain the difference between the two categories on this forum.
@mattdm: I am considering something like the following for the Fedora Magazine docs.
- Matrix Channel: #magazine:fedoraproject.org
But is there a way to create a link that will start a new topic with the appropriate
There is! Like this:
See How to create a new topic link with pre-filled information - faq - Discourse Meta for more — you can pre-fill the title or body, too.
@glb that was exactly what I meant.
The links have been updated in PR #48.
Merged, can this be marked as solved?
Yes. I would have marked it, but I didn’t see the option. Thanks!
I did it. It’s in the tool icon
