Firefox wayland

@stransky (or anyone else who knows)

  1. Does Fedora do something separate to make Firefox Wayland-only? I compiled a minimal Firefox from source the Mozilla way, and I cannot get it to run in Wayland-only mode. Whereas Fedora’s packaged Firefox does run in Wayland only mode.
  2. Some things do NOT work when running Firefox in Wayland only mode. It seems to be largely related to compositors (more things broken in some compositors). Is this something NOT to talk about to Firefox Wayland people?

Maybe take a look at Tree - rpms/firefox - src.fedoraproject.org

You can build Firefox with cairo-gtk3-wayland-only target which produces Wayland only browser:

I’m not aware of any Fedora patch related to Wayland only behavior, it may be caused by build environment where actual config is auto detected.
