Searching on overview does not show results from Firefox (RPM).
For some reason, the Firefox app has to be running in order for the Overview to propose a web search via Firefox.
So it’s a bug.
I guess it is, given that GNOME Web for example doesn’t need to be running in a similar use case.
Should I make a Bug report on gnome gitlab or is this Firefox related?
I’m not sure. But based on the fact that other browsers (installed as RPMs) don’t even have an option to activate the search in Activity Overview, my guess is that it is related to Firefox and to the way it implements such integration.
