Yesterday, I came across an issue where I couldn’t select files within a 640x360px area of the top left corner of my desktop. I also cannot move files into this area
“Peek At Desktop” mode removes the problem temporarily, but it comes back after leaving the mode
I also uploaded a video demonstration of the problem to YouTube, to visualise it differently
If any more information is needed, I would be happy to provide
Edit: Adding a panel and then removing it fixes the problem until the next restart

Could it be this issue?
After clicking an empty area of the desktop in a KDE Plasma Wayland session, the desktop becomes unclickable, and all currently visible windowed applications also stop responding to mouse clicks. The mouse cursor itself still moves normally, and I...

The user in this post found they had a stray invisible panel from a disconnected screen, and fixed the issue by removing that.

This is not the issue
Though now after accidentally removing and re-adding my bottom panel, its appearance has been reset to basic… is that reversible..?

If you have a recent backup of ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc, then restoring that should bring the old panel setup back.
If not… I don’t know, but somebody else may.

I tried again and found that adding a new panel and then removing it fixes the problem, but after a restart it comes back
Having the same issue as well. Running dual monitors and I did recently powered one off and back on following a system update.
I noticed in another thread that someone mentioned doing that before the issue occurred.
No lasting fix (surviving after a reboot) I’ve found as of yet. Any updates?
Edit: Wanted to confirm there’s no invisible panel following the monitor disconnect, as noted in another reply/fix.
Reinstalling KDE both fixed the issue, even after reboot, and retained all my settings as well.
From terminal I ran: dnf install @kde-desktop-environment
and then rebooted.
More info on the install is listed here:
Hope this helps.
