This is a copy of what I posted in #commops:fedoraproject.org & #council:fedoraproject.org:
Hey folks. According to Fedora Linux 43 Schedule: Elections, FESCo candidates are supposed to answer a questionnaire before Dec. 3rd. Maybe I missed things but I’m a candidate and I have not received the questionnaire. Is this expected? Not sure who is responsible for that right now. Thanks
It looks like the person responsible for that is away and no one took the task so there might be delays.
Hopefully someone (@jspaleta ?) will make an announcement / take over the election process.
I assume that we’ll probably have to modify the schedule a little bit, as even if sent today there may not be time to hand them over in one day. I at least would prefer to reflect on it for a bit.
Not sure if @jflory7 is involved into this, but he’s on personal leave and I assume that someone else may need to cover him and take over this
Hi all! I’m back from bereavement leave this week. I am picking this back up now and will try and get some time to check back in on Friday. Yes, some communications were missed and we may need to leave some time for extending the schedule.
I am keenly aware that we are getting close to the year-end holidays, and this could have significant impacts on election engagement. I’m going to sleep on what is the right thing to do here in terms of the election timing. If anyone has opinions or thoughts on what is ethical and sensible to do, I am definitely open to hearing it.
tbh and taking the dates into consideration it may be better to think about having the process, or at least part of it after the xmas break? wdyt? thanks!
