Jitsi video conferencing server packages - jitsi.org

Installation Instructions

Enable the repository using sudo dnf copr enable lcts/jitsi, then you can install packages using sudo dnf install <package>.

The repository contains the following packages:

  • jitsi - meta package that installs all components required to set up Jitsi on a single server
  • jitsi-meet - the Jitsi Meet web app
  • jitsi-meet-nginx - Jitsi configuration for NGinx
  • jitsi-meet-apache -Jitsi configuration for Apache
  • jitsi-meet-prosody - Jitsi configuration for Prosody
  • jitsi-videobridge - the Jitsi Videobridge component
  • jicofo - the Jitsi Conference Focus component
  • jigasi - work in progress the Jitsi Gateway to SIP component
  • jibri - work in progress the Jitsi Broadcasting Infrastructure component

You can report any issues you have with the packages here. Please only use this for issues with the packages, not the software. The latter you should take up with the respective upstream devs.

Notes:

  • All packages require configuration after install before being usable. Instructions can be found in /usr/share/doc/<package>/README-fedora.md
  • All packages ship with fully bundled java dependencies. I haven't dared to tackle unbundling yet, which will be a total mess.
