Fedorafaq website

Today I made some researches and this Website popped up on first place (I searched with duckduckgo).

Does somebody know more about that and has an idea how to find more information about the quality/origin of the information on it? Whois brings me to “n a m e c h e a p dot c o m” ?

Strange to find a .com page for an opensource project on which we work for free!

My guess is that it is an AI generated website.

It is not an ‘official’ Fedora website.

I assume so. However Fedora is an opensource project and at least the idea about the faq, would be necessary/interesting to know?

They claim copyright, and do not provide an imprint.

Where should i report this for RH? So the legal department could have a look.

There are many AI generated ‘help’ websites, though this one does seem to be claiming the name.

You can reach out to Red Hat legal on the mailing list Legal Mailing List

They take a long time to respond usually, if at all.

I added the tag here … let’s see what’s happening. If someone knows someone who works for legal please let them know that this topic has been created.

I avoid to sigh to new lists, sorry.

@salimma may know…
