This isn’t just me, right? It looks the the CSS for the page has completely broke!
I’ve cleared cache and cookies, but nothing has worked. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Not just you, get the same odd look: Fedora Start | The Fedora Project
Same, the page is broken, I will ask on Matrix who can fix it.
The team is on it. I will be fixed sometime. Thanks for the report.
It seems like some CSS didn’t transfer when the site was rebuilt yesterday. I hadn’t noticed the problem because my browser had the CSS cached. I’ve started another rebuild of the site, but it will take about an hour for all the proxies to update.
Thanks for reporting the problem.
I think this should be fixed now. If something still isn’t rendering correctly, try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5).
I spoke too soon. The rebuild seems to have fixed some pages but not all of them.
An error has been found in the build system and the experts (not me
) are looking into it.
Thanks for your patience.
Yeah, if you have another browser, some people are reporting that it might work with the other brand (Firefox will work, but Chrome won’t, or vice versa). I’m told it is some sort of problem with the “object storage provider”. ![]()
They are working on it. We’ll just have to be patient.
In the meantime, you can get a Fedora ISO direct from a mirror, pick one
https://mirrormanager.fedoraproject.org/mirrors/Fedora/44/x86_64
Yikes!
The F44 official ISOs can alternatively be downloaded from this dead-simple webpage, which doesn’t seem vulnerable to CSS issues.
(Edit - changed the link as suggested by @glb)
There is also a staging site at stg.fedoraproject.org that seems to be working, if you find that easier to navigate.
@pg-tips Yeah, I’ve used that from time to time as well, but Adam Williamson has advised me not to refer people to that site because it cannot handle the load if lots of people use it. It is better to use https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux, or the torrents if you are just looking for the ISOs.
Ah, I didn’t know that - thanks!
I think it is fixed now. Thank @darknao for fixing the problem!
Thanks for the quick fix! I was asleep when you were conversing, but it’s great to see it up and running again. I love staying up to date with Fedora news!
