Fedora keeps stuttering when set to 120Hz till I log out and log back in on Dell XPS 13 2026

Hello, I have a Dell XPS 13 2026 model (DX13260) with an Intel Wildcat lake core 5 320 processor and integrated xe graphics. I’ve noticed that after a cold boot, the laptop screen seems to be much less than the 120Hz it is set at.

I’ve tried adding xe.enable_psr=0 and xe.enable_fbc=0 to my kernel parameters but that doesn’t fix the issue. It is only fixed when I log out and log back in. After doing that, there are a more refresh rate options available in settings than before, but changing it to anything else just brings back the old stuttering issue till i log out and log in again.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
