Fedora KDE 36 stopped performing power management

A few days ago, perhaps after an update, Fedora KDE 36 stopped performing power management like dimming and switching of my laptop screen and suspending the laptop.
Why might this be happening? Has anyone got this happen too? How to fix it? Thank you

Is the “KDE 26” in the title a typo of 36, or do you mean Plasma 5.26? Plasma 5.27 was released on Fedora 36 about 1 week ago.

Are there any error messages when you try to suspend?

$ systemctl suspend

Also check the journal after attempting the above command:

$ journalctl --since -5m

I meant Fedora KDE 36, there was a typo.
The suspend works great without any errors. I think it is KDE problem because even the screen doesn’t dim or turn off, it stays always on.

It may be a KDE 5.27 problem. There is a similar report on Fedora 37: F37 & KDE 5.27: screen doesn't dim nor turn off

No solution yet but you might want to watch the other post for updates (click the bell icon and select “Watching”).

I updated F37 & KDE 5.27: screen doesn't dim nor turn off a few hours ago: it was originally a Wayland-related problem, seemingly introduced with KDE Plasma 5.27 and mitigated by using X11. Now, on 5.27.2 the issue manifests on X11 and Wayland.
