Fedora Installer: can we have the option to edit the standard partition?

Hello!

I noticed that in the new installer we can no longer create a default partition and edit it. If the option is there, apologies and please let me know!

What I mean is, you can either use the default partition (which is only disclosed later) without changing, or start from scratch. In the previous installer there was an option to create a standard partition and then edit it. Screenshots below.

I am not an expert in partitioning, but I do prefer ext4 over btrfs. So for me, the previously available option to create a standard partition with ext4 (or with btrfs and edit manually) was perfect.

I was wondering if that was removed on purpose or is this something that can be reintroduced to the installer. That would make installing easier for some of us.

Thank you for making this awesome OS!

Previous installer (for somewhat technical ppl, like me):

Now, either “entire disk” (mystery default):

Or start from scratch (for experts):

I’d go a step further and suggest that Anaconda Web UI get scrapped altogether and the old Anaconda installer from before get reinstated. Anaconda Web already has multiple problems, the most egregious one being that I have no option to set my hostname at the time of install. Like OP, I also take umbrage with how the ability to choose my own filesystem is seemingly removed altogether for the sake of seemingly forcing BTRFS on us all. No objections to giving BTRFS a whirl these days, but it doesn’t hold a candle to tried and true EXT4.
