So, I am kinda disappointed that this happened in secret without proper community feedback. I would have said I supported the idea but would like to see more technical details and (at least a plan for) integration into Infra and usage of Fedora distgit sources before this became an official Fedora thing like I had started asking about on the devel post. I believe others expressed similar sentiments. And that seems to have been disregarded completely which feels crummy. The original devel post was framed as a request for feedback, not an announcement of something that was already happening.
