I want to reach out and make myself available to answer questions. I was one of the people who led the launch of Fedora Hummingbird Linux.
First, we love Fedora. We brought this to Fedora because we believe, I personally believe, that developing something like this in a community-driven way is important. It drives innovation and better ideas. The article is in no way intended to offend the Fedora community, it’s meant to be a compliment.
Second, the links. You will NOT need a Red Hat login, nor Fedora login for this. Users will not need any login to download it. This is purely a logistics error because some of the links were wrong when we published. I ask everyone to give the team some time to get that part fixed.
Third, this is something that Red Hat is committed to, much like Fedora overall. Please give us some time to prove this out as a technology. We believe that Fedora Hummingbird Linux is interesting because of the methodology for how it’s built and will have applications throughout the RHEL and Fedora ecosystem. We ask for a little grace and a little space to show how committed we are to this and the Fedora community, and how we think this will make the entire community stronger.
