Fedora, Firefox and Mozilla Account

Now, consider Firefox and Mozilla changes - what is needed to move to the Fedora project and start or a private service alternative to Mozilla account data migration if, in some cases, Mozilla will drop the service.

Do you have a link to the changes you mention, or can you explain them here?

If I get you correct you are referring to plan B?
In that case I guess Fedora would need to provide its own infrastructure/tools to replace Mozilla’s cloud features > hosting a Fedora sync server > using Mozilla’s open-source code to run a Fedora-branded sync endpoint.
Decoupled data > store data locally (e.g., a NAS) or via independent services (Bitwarden/Nextcloud) rather than a centralized browser account.
Migration Tools > building utilities into Fedora to export browser profiles into open, portable formats.

@theprogram - I mean change in managment ot Mozilla.

Yep, Plan B - primarily how to - is to discuss - but from the source code of the Firefox Fedora package, is to add an option - Choose the Mozilla Account provider.

Fedora won’t do that, fedora chromium is next to useless without account support.

What do you mean ?
