Fedora Elections Nominations Period Ending Soon

Hi All,

The Fedora Elections Nominations period will close soon. Several seats are open across all governing bodies in the project this cycle. You have until 23:59 UTC on Thursday, 21 May 2026 to nominate yourself or someone you think would be a good fit for any of these positions, provided you have their permission.

You can nominate by visiting each wiki page and filling out the table at the end.

Fedora Council[1]

Fedora Engineering Steering Committee (FESCo)[2]

Fedora Mindshare Committee[3]

EPEL Steering Committee[4]

Once the nomination period closes, candidates will have time to complete interview questions which will then be published to the community blog before voting opens. A notice will go out on mailing lists and on discussion.fedoraproject.org when the interviews are published with a link to the posting.

Friendly FYI: the due date needs to be disambiguated. Wednesday is the 20th, Thursday is the 21st. The post says “Wednesday, 21 May 2026”, which is a day that does not exist.

Hi @monkeybean12 you need to fill out this information on the wiki page linked. There may be criteria for candidates to be eligible for nominations for EPEL Steering Committee. This will be linked from the nominations wiki page.

Ah this is me being a bit confused with time - I blame returning to work after a considerable period off scrambling that part of my brain :sweat_smile: Thank you for the correction, I will edit the post header to the correct deadline: Thursday, 21 May 2026.

Okay I did fill in my info on the wiki pages however I’m trying to get it in the chart table can you edit the wiki pages should say Mackenzie Stewart or Kenz Stewart on them at the bottom of chart outside of it.

Edit: its filled out in the tables now

I’ve only been playing with this Fedora thingy a few months so I’m too new to nominate myself, and too new to know anybody enough to nominate - Good Fortune, though…
