Fedora Dual Boot Allocate Space to Windows 11

Hi all,

I’ve been trying to add space to Windows 11 from Fedora. I shrank my Fedora partition from gparted, but I can’t seem to get windows to absorb the unallocated space. Does anyone have an idea or a resource that could solve this?

Windows is too limited and inflexible regarding partitions.

AND you need that free space next to the windows partition, without other partitions in between.

Using (exclusively) gparted, move the partitions (using “Resize/Move” and dragging the block) one by one, to the right, until the free space is right next to windows.
(Moving will take time if your HDD is slow… Be prepared)

You can try to now resize windows using windows partition GUI, if it doesn’t work use GParted itself to resize the windows partition too.

If the Windows partition is encrypted (which I think is usually the case with Win11), you need to be careful when resizing it using a non-Windows tool - https://superuser.com/questions/1458673/how-can-i-resize-a-windows-bitlocker-partition-with-gparted
