Fedora & CentOS booth on FrOSCon, Aug 2025: organizational stuff, ToDo, etc

NoVNC seems to be good solution. So we need justa Webbrowser.

Interesting is that the three most widespread Fedora variants after Workstation ain’t contained at 42 :open_mouth: I could imagine (but that is just a guess of course) that these three (KDE, Silverblue, Kinoite) make up more than 50% together today. I’m wondering why they do not contain them

There seems to be a bug with F42 and Qt based desktop as 41 just works.

Silverblue and Kinoite are not mainly focussed on desktop, are they?

I don’t see the point in showcasing Silverblue or any other of the atomic desktops in an offline environment like DistroSea as you cannot do anything there, especially not the things that are somewhat unique to atomic desktops (rollback, layering). Just a desktop with almost no applications installed.

They are (desktop, laptop, etc), that’s why they have GNOME and KDE :classic_smiley: My perception based on Discourse topics (though I cannot say if that is generally representative) is even that most users of Silverblue/Kinoite have no specific professional use case of the immutable environment (such as developers) but just enjoy the immutable experience and some of its properties compared to Workstation/KDE (e.g., rollback if something is broken). So much of the audience might be comparable between Workstation/KDE and Silverblue/Kinoite.

But let’s stay on topic, and I assume you have already found some use for the laptops :classic_smiley:
