  • A “compat” package set for ROCm 7.2 is being prepared for Fedora 46 to support it alongside a future major ROCm release.

Python 3.15 Update

The update is causing the usual compatibility issues for packages like torch and triton, specifically with torch._dynamo. This is a work in progress.

New AI Packages for F45

  • There is a push to get local AI agent packages into Fedora 45.
  • The pi-coding-agent (Bugzilla #2464801) and olla (a local AI proxy) are up for review.
  • The review for pi-coding-agent is blocked pending clarification from the NodeJS SIG regarding binary/WASM files in node_modules.
  • Help Needed: Reviews are requested for the py-coding-agent and olla packages.

Other Packages & Backends

  • python-cupy-rocm has been updated.
  • There is no one from the SIG actively working on OpenVINO.

The next meeting on July 2nd falls between Canadian and US holidays. A decision on whether to hold or cancel it will be discussed on Matrix.
