Since a while ago, I regularly come across this issue where everything boots up fine until the login screen before the entire system seems to freeze. No more keyboard inputs accepted, mouse won’t move, etc. and the only thing I can do is press the hardware reset button and boot up again.
Often times, but not always, I can properly log in after on the second attempt. Interestingly, this freeze sometimes occurs even before I type the first character of my password, or while I typing or sometimes also only after having pressed Enter.
Any ideas about how to debug this? I checked the system logs, but can’t spot any errors or otherwise relevant information in there.
