So, I am facing a weird issue. I upgraded to Fedora 44 few weeks ago from F43. Recently I started to have issues with random reboots, so I changed the BIOS settings to lower the energy consumption/performance (I thought it is because of the heat).
It did not stop. I thought it is the RAM, so I removed one-by-one the 32GB RAM I had and tested each separately. They exhibited the same random reboots issue.
Finally, I have pinned F43 so booted that instead, and everything seems rock solid.
Can someone tell me how to troubleshoot? Where to find an issue? I thought it will be the RAM, but now I am 100% sure it is not. I am not running anything crazy, some Podman Desktop, browser, and the usual stuff. There were no major hardware changes, except I started to use more Wifi instead of wired LAN, but the wifi/BT card was used before for wireless keyboard/mouse so I doubt that is causing the issue. Could it be the new KDE 6.7 crashing and restarting the whole PC, as before these restarts were not occurring…? Everything is up-to-date on the system.
