Fedora 44 indicates it will format first partition nvme0n1p1 as efi during installation

Hello,

My machine has Win11 and Ubuntu as dual boot. I wanted to install Fedora 44 but stuck on manual partition and was afraid to continue. Below is the fdisk output.

Device Start End Sectors Size Type
/dev/nvme0n1p1 2048 206847 204800 100M EFI System
/dev/nvme0n1p2 206848 239615 32768 16M Microsoft reserved
/dev/nvme0n1p3 239616 850716671 850477056 405.5G Microsoft basic data
/dev/nvme0n1p4 850716672 852211711 1495040 730M Windows recovery environment
/dev/nvme0n1p5 852211712 852826111 614400 300M EFI System
/dev/nvme0n1p6 852826112 978655231 125829120 60G Linux filesystem
/dev/nvme0n1p7 978655232 1965537279 986882048 470.6G Linux filesystem
/dev/nvme0n1p8 1965537280 1999091711 33554432 16G Linux swap

I do not want to use /boot partition. So I mounted /, /home, and /boot/efi and only selected / to be reformated as ext4. Below picture shows the manual partition status.

It says 1st partition will be formated as efi although I never setup that way. Web search mentioned that it will not format it but I wasn’t sure.

Any idea or experience how should I proceed?

Thanks

P.S. I am questioning the quality of the installer.
