Fedora 43 WS . Shift+Alt. When switching keyboard layouts, a beeping sound appeared. And if I change the language a couple of times, the screen freezes completely and becomes unresponsive.

I don’t use GNOME but could it be this bug? Your -b -1 logs show what looks like an endless loop of key remappings. This user found that downgrading mutter to 49.0 fixed the issue, which would explain why rolling back your last update transaction fixes it for you. Possible approaches you could take:

1. Use the default Super+Space as your layout switcher instead of Shift+Alt

2. Or install the testing version of the bug fix: sudo dnf update --advisories=FEDORA-2025-70e9a20c7b --enablerepo=updates-testing

Honestly it’s not that clear to me what happened. There are some comments from devs on the GNOME bug ticket that may shed some light, but I don’t know enough about the code to translate that into a good explanation.
