In your first post you mentioned both Gnome and plasma, and now you mention KDE.
Which is actually true? or are you having similar issues with 2 different DE installs.?
If it works after removing those drivers then it would appear
- You failed to try removing ‘rhgb’ from the kernel command line which has been mentioned several times in different threads related to KDE and nvidia as a workaround for the black screen issue. There is also a common issue thread related. Fedora 43 KDE sometimes boots to a black screen
- You may have rebooted immediately after installing the nvidia driver so it might have been corrupted and not properly built. It can be rebuilt and signed by running
sudo akmods --rebuild --force - You may be seeing issues caused by secure boot and either an unsigned nvidia module or failure to enroll the key into bios as shown at rpmfusion.
