Fedora 43 not booting after installation

I have installed a Fedora 43. After the installation the system is not booting. The os is getting stuck while booting even when trying to run the recovery kernel. I have been using fedora for some time and I never seen an issue like this before

“booting” is a complex process, could you explain on which step it hangs? Is there any error message? If you press ESC you shall see all the lines..

It is loading wifi then it just blinks back again to fedora logo and freezes

Sometimes pressing ESC while booting freezes it faster

I have tries to use rescue kernel and it’s getting stuck on “Reached target initrd-root-device.target - Initrd Root Device”

It’s smth wrong with the KDE spin of Fedora 43. Workstation work without any issues at all. I guess if someone else has the same exact problem just install fedora workstation and then install kde plasma.

I hope it will work in the future

For someone wanting to install Fedora 43 now, I would suggest that instead of the official ISO from October, they use a respin ISO, which includes post-release fixes.

The current respins are from 2025-12-15, and should avoid the problems that Fedora KDE 43 originally had (e.g. black screen on boot).

That’s not a bad idea
