Fedora 43 KDE servers used during installation are very slow

The installer for fedora 43 KDE worked perfectly. But the servers for the repos are very slow. I’m located in India.

What speed are you getting?

You can set which mirror to use by country or select a specific mirror.

Have a search and try it out, if you can’t figure it out in a day or two let me know and I’ll help you more.

Download speeds are usually a factor of your local internet and the location of the servers. There is nothing that we can do about that issue except to suggest that you maybe look at /etc/dnf/dnf.conf and add one option in there fastestmirror=True

fastestmirror is the lowest ping, not the highest througput if I remember correctly

I’m getting 300 kbps on an 25 mbps connection. I don’t know how to set the country.

I am also located in India and got excellent speeds, as fast as my connection could handle (Airtel). No issues at all. Loving F43 KDE.
